It's creamier and richer, for one thing, and doesn't have any eggs in it. The traditional flavors are a little different, too.
The ones I've made here are mostly flavored by edible flowers--padisarahs, roses, lavender, and mint, as well as a plain one with cardamom and sea salt. I'm thinking about adding fruit flavors but I wanted to make sure of these before adding more.
[ isn't going to admit his appetite for sweet things extends far enough to definitely finish at least one of each, but nods in some kind of determination anyway. ]
He'd put up with this a little bit for you, surely. [ not surely. ] Is there one you were concerned about working the most? We should start there.
[ he isn't part of the sea salt devotees of the kh canon but his inherent kh-ness compels him regardless. picking up a sea salt kulfi and taking a tentative little bite... ]
[Well, it's cardamom and sea salt. I, the player, have absolutely no idea how that would taste, but one assumes the sea salt enhances the complex flavor in the cardamom, especially the sweetness, and possibly cuts through some of the inherent smokiness of it.
[now, I don't know if they have those in teyvat because the tech levels are fucking wild but vending machines probably aren't familiar to Kaveh at least.
But he is going to chuckle as Xehanort just. Inhales the rest of the kulfi.]
Oh, so the honey works well with it. Try the rose next.
It's a machine that stores items inside and dispenses them when you insert coins. You could set one up inside or even outside the cafe and anyone could come by and buy something.
[ tech levels are wild in kingdom hearts as well but they had supercomputers long before nort times so im going with this is Fine.
if he looks a little sheepish at being called out... no he doesn't. anyway he will follow directions, giving the rose one a moment of consideration before biting tentatively. ]
[It's not exactly as sweet, but it's very floral which creates a richness with the sweetness of the condensed cream. Given how expectant Kaveh looks, it might be his favorite flavor.]
A machine that distributes items...I can see the appeal, but it's a little impersonal given we mostly advertise as a place to hang around...but hm, how would one make it stay cool enough to store kulfi without disturbing the mechanisms...
[Oh no. Oh he's off to the races. Xehanort what have you done.]
But it might increase attraction to the cafe, too. Someone who just buys a quick snack one day might remember it later and return to enjoy the atmosphere.
[ said between bites because this is really nice. he likes the floral flavours too, apparently?

Do you need help making something?
no subject
[Kaveh has...an array of bowls with frozen, creamy treats on sticks in them. In different colors, too.]
I need a taste-tester. Have you had kulfi before?
no subject
[ nosily inspecting each of the bowls before really being invited to do so. they look nice... he's interested... ]
No, I haven't. It's different from ice cream?

[ despite saying that, his eyes linger on the sea salt one. ]
You want me to try them all?
no subject
[Kaveh pauses. And smiles conspiratorially.] And Al-Haitham doesn't have much of a sweet tooth, so I have to share this with someone, don't I?

It's really nice. I think maybe it could be a little sweeter, but that's all.

[That said, he does pass Xehanort a jar of honey.]
no subject
[ taking the honey... very delicately adding some. ]
Are you planning on adding these to the cafe menu?
no subject
[He gets so bored sitting at the stove, Xehanort. So, so bored.
The honey will, by all reports, make the kulfi fucking phenomenal.]
no subject
Automating this kind of process would be really useful. You could even have a way to dispense them, like a vending machine.
[ now don't mind him while he demolishes the rest of this kulfi. ]
